There are two new Dodge Charger models: an electric vehicle called the Daytona and a standard gas-powered model called the SIXPACK. The Daytona is available as a coupe or sedan in the standard R/T trim and the more powerful Scat Pack. The SIXPACK comes in standard-output and high-output models. There may be additional R/T, Scat Pack, and GT configurations, but Dodge has yet to confirm these details.
Performance and Power: What Sets the Charger Apart
No matter the powertrain, Dodge delivers the performance credentials you’d expect from a Charger. The electric vehicle features an integrated charge module and front and rear electric motors powered by a 93.9 kWh battery. The standard Direct Connection power-upgrade kits help the standard R/T model generate 496 hp and the Scat Pack a whopping 670 hp. That’s enough to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and travel a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds.
The SIXPACK will feature a twin-turbocharged Hurricane I-6 engine. While the standard-output model is no slouch, generating 420 hp, the high-output version can push out 550 hp.
